Covent Garden – Art Competition 2026

ARTIST BRIEF
The Porterhouse Bar, the birth place of J.M.W. Turner, (the greatest British landscape painter of all time), in partnership with
The Covent Gardener magazine and The Turner Society are inviting artists to pick up a blank sheet, a canvas, or a brush and bring Turner’s Covent Garden to life.
Not necessarily in the style of Mr Turner, but in his spirit – full of imagination, curiosity, a love of light and atmosphere. Explore the energy of Covent Garden, past and present, its streets, performers, stories, and the vibrant character of this historic area. All art disciplines welcome.
